golf weekend

had a lovely weekend away with my mates. Played 45 holes over the 2 days.
Started out at Tarland (9 holer), nice little course with a great bacon roll in the very welcoming clubhouse afterwards. Played Ballater on Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, a lovely course in good condition giving a good challenge. Another very welcoming clubhouse that served up good food and drinks.
of course winning 4&3 with my partner sealed it as a good weekend.

if you are looking for a great weekend try the Isle of Bute on the west coast of Scotland. Easy to get to and small enough that you get around the courses quickly- not too much travelling in between. It has 3 courses 18,12 and 9; plenty of watering holes and the most beautiful of locations. I know a great place that sleeps any number from 2 to 16.
