Golf trip w/c March 7

The clever money is heading south but the draw of St Andrews is quite a big one. Just had a quick look and Dumbarnie doesn't open until the following week which tells its own story. Did wonder about Enville as never been but not sure what there is to do near there. Southport probably more of a banker

PM @Bigfoot I believe he's a member there. (y)

Looking like Southport/Liverpool due to links, shortish drive and chance to play Lytham which we're all a bit obsessed with
How about Preston as a base? Lively place. Choose from Lytham St Annes, Fairhaven and SAOL one way AND from from Hesketh, West Lancs, S and A, Hillside, West Lancs and Birkdale the other. Perhaps take a week and take them all!

Enville is 15 mins from Stourbridge station for an easy journey to Birmingham. There are plenty of places for drinks/entertainment there on Broad Street and the Symphony Hall area.
Two courses at Enville that will keep you entertained too.
Black Country Museum in Dudley for something else to do other than golf.
