Golf Things That Gladden The Heart

We've got 27 holes planned for Friday morning, light lunch and then 18 in the afternoon followed by a curry on the way home.
I've got another 20+ years to go but I'm hoping this is what retirement looks like.
Nothing like it mate, see below:😂😂

We've got 27 holes planned for Mon, Wed & Friday, late mornings, huge lunch and then 18 in the afternoon in buggies followed by the missus picking me up and stopping for a take-away on the way home.

Just add in the fact you ache for next 3 days and by the time your body recovers your mind forgets what happened and you got it spot on 😂

Opening drive at Saunton West today was a corker. Got to my ball, reached in the bag for my gap wedge to find, "no gap wedge."

Went into sulk mode trying to think where I might have lost.

After the round, rang Newport Pro Shop, where I last played on Sunday, to see if they had it.

Yep, someone had handed it in! Faith in human nature restored!😁😁

I bought some PXG irons back in 2023 but I wanted to confirm the specs because I couldn’t remember. I contacted PXG with the serial numbers and got the full build spec an hour later .. perfect 👌.
Looks like I had a good idea as well as the lofts are close to old club lofts with the 7 coming in at 33 degrees.

Just back from our Spring Divoting evening....bloomin' knackered.
About 30 of us split into 2 groups, mine went on the front 9.
Only 2 par 3s on this 9 so 7 fairways to fill in..although the 4th doesn't see much action for 3/4 of its length..
Started at 4.30, finished at 6.15, back to the clubhouse for a pint a d Bangers and Mash courtesy of the Club.
Some good banter, lots of divots filled, scrumpy tea and all in glorious sunshine....
Hardest work I've done in years :ROFLMAO:

Well done by you and the other participants. It not only improves the course but also builds "community". And great for the club for the celebratory meal!

We used to do divotting but have moved onto carry bags of sand for filling divots as you go. it works better IMO opinion as the divotting was only one twice a year and as you say bloody hard work.

I just loved this from Scottie. Imagine Rory was asked the same question? Would be a very, very different response I'm sure. Whenever I've talked about Rory whining left, right and centre people always argue "Well they keep asking him, he's just giving his answers, what is he meant to do?" Well here is Scottie, proving it is actually possible to not give your opinion on absolutely everything. It really is that easy. 😂
