Golf Things That Gladden The Heart

How did you get on today? What’s the course like after this wet winter? is the Kings still your favorite of the 3?
Were there next week playing the Kings this time
Hi,
It was great fun today. Hit the ball well, but had a few 3 putts - scored 77 gross.
Course is good but a little bit damp (not muddy) in places.
A few of the greens early on were a wee but soft. Not disappointed whatsoever.
Only my second time playing the Queens, enjoyed it much more than the first time.
9th and 10th are very quirky. I’m not a fan of quirky. 🤣
My mate who is a member says the Kings is in fantastic condition and easily the best of the 3 at the moment. It was closed for a few months over the winter.IMG_4175.jpegIMG_4174.jpeg

Looks great thanks for photos 👍 good score you had glad you enjoyed it. Nice to hear Kings is in such good condition forecast looks mostly dry next week so that might help.
Handy for you having a friend as a member👍

That is quite expensive for member's guest rate. My course has upped the rate from £40 to £50 this year, which I think is too steep. I don't think it should necessarily reflect the visitor green fee, I'd like to see the guest rate around £30.
Agreed, but it is a world renowned resort destination and close to £4k fees for members.
