Golf Things That Gladden The Heart

We finish with a par three.

201 yards from the white tee to a raised green with a decent carry over water, many is the good card gone south at this final nerve tester.

I'll await your course review, I'm always looking to do 36 hole days and Ombersley isn't far away so might do both of those in the summer.
Just noticed they have an Open AmAm on Saturday 27th September. Never played it and would like it give it a go.

It says, "The format is non-acceptable Mens Better ball Stableford."

I'm fairly sure that I am a non-acceptable man as far as Droitwich are concerned.

You never played it?

I've played there twice so far and really enjoyed it. Some really unique holes.

Once I'm settled you'd be more than welcome to come and play with me! Just reach out!

About an hour from me, so never one I've ticked off. Definitely take you up on that mate. Cheers.

Our Pro retired at the end of '24 and the shop was taken over by AB Golf who have shops in 3 or 4 other clubs in the area
As an incentive to get going they gave out 10% discount vouchers to members, use the voucher and get entered into a draw to win a dozen balls, a lesson, a bag or a custom fit driver....
Well....feeling quite smug as I'll be going in tomorrow to organise the custom fit....

Fragged is so happy for me.....:ROFLMAO:

So today was my brothers 60th golf bash at the club. 48 of us turned up and had a whale of a time. Best two from four with some quirky holes. One of the holes, one person tees off and you play the ball from there only the ball to tee off was a tennis ball it was leathered all of 30 yds. 😳 one of the holes. You had to use the putter provided. Crow would have nicked it.the putter looked 80 years old. One of the holes played off the black tee. Flippin eck.
Re the golf, we finished 3rd overall and I scored 41 point playing off 20. I was buzzing but here’s the important bit. The golf was secondary. One of the guys in our group has moved up north and is now a member at Rockcliffe. Since he moved North a couple of years ago, he has been diagnosed with Prostate cancer. He is topside it all now. But he really enjoyed and needed today. Another guy who I had heard of but never knew only has one eye. He has had a tumour removed from his brain, he has had an eye removed and we laughed and laughed for 4 1/2 hrs. He reckons “ this lot have helped with my recovery”. He said “ Tash you know this lot, I told them I was booking a golf day for my 50th last year’ they told me to take a back seat and they would sort it. 48 lads turned up, some I had not seen for over ten years. And everyone of them played with an eye patch on”. He was laughing his head off.
Yeah the golf was good, but you could of paid a fortune for that therapy.
