Golf Things That Gladden The Heart

Was it at North Shore? A mate of mine also had a HIO with his son in attendance. Wondering if it's the same mate...
No, at Pine Ridge in Surrey - we thought he'd gone long but couldn't find it, sent his son to check the hole as a bit of a joke and he found it!

We then had to explain how rare it was, and that it was even rarer his old man was -4 through 4 :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Twelve 2s in my last 18 club comps. Puts pro-shop credit well ahead of entry fees.

Two were holed shots from greenside bunkers, one was a flop-shot over a bunker and one was a full shot with a 42° iron on a par 4.

The video cameras were just not there, sorry.
I got a 2 in my last comp, but my club doesn't do 2s sweep anymore. ☹️

Had our champs start times sent out today. I go out at 2pm. First champs at the new club. I just hope to make the cut for day 2

One thing I found crazy was that there are 144 entrants for the mens and the highest handicap to make the 144 is 17. Currently there are 45 guys on the reserve list.

Did the Tour ban you from filming content for your YouTube channel?

No, nothing like that.
I simply find it puzzling why the main TV networks are not out there with their cameras every time I play.:LOL::LOL:

I do much more interesting things than that boring stuff you generally see on the telly.
For example...

Really entertaining and amusing moments throughout the round.
3-off-the-tee on the 16th and its a par 3 !!! (walk of shame occurred)

SD of 6.2 sitting just outside my best 8.

Recent refound the golfing bug after a prolonged hiatus due to falling out of love with the game for many reasons.

Bit the bullet a month ago bought all new clubs and played my first round of Golf in 5 years today, coincided with being my dads birthday on Open weekend who sadly passed away not so long ago so it was bittersweet. But left a smile on my face to be playing for fun knowing he’d be happy rather than taking it to seriously like I used to.
