Golf superstition ?

I don't like to total the score until the end.

more of a habit rather than a superstition but I always save my expletives until the moment the provisional ball goes straight down the middle after the first one has disappeared to any out of bounds/woods/canal that it wanted to

I do not really have any, just habits like putting the tees, glove etc in the same pocket every time so I can find them quickly.

I have never thought about superstition and golf until now, damn you! DAMN YOU ALL!!

I never tee off on a par 5 until I've done 20 keepy-uppies with my sand wedge.
If I put one out of bounds from the tee I have an antique ivory tee I use for my next shot.
And I always close my eyes when I fart on the green.

If I remember correctly Neil Coles, in the tail end of a very successful golfing career, always wore the same jersey on the final day.

Even on TV you could see the it was in need of TLC or the bin!

Henry Longhurst enjoyed making fun of it but Neil must have been no different to us all ... the jersey made him score better!
