Why does a club on trial work brilliantly yet as soon as the funds are handed over it turns to pot ?

Swing speed. My guess is that one always holds back a little with a trial club ... you don't want to damage it, normally someone is watching when you try it out, it feels new in your hand ... all things that might make you handle it a little more delicately, focussing more on the feel of the club in your hand etc. all leading to a slightly slower swing with more control and better results. Then, when you finally own it and take it to your usual environment on the range or on the course, you just whack it as you do all your other clubs ...

Why don't more amatuers golfers wear white trousers when they are so popular on with Pro's ?

I bought some online last week. They got delivered yesterday. They are now on the way back to the shop.

I thought I could maybe, just maybe pull off the white trousers but it turns out they didn't look as good as I'd imagined! Altho I did buy a pair of sky blue trousers that look OK!
