Golf Pride Tour Velvet or Multi Compounds

Ok iv got Lamkin Crosslines on my Wilsons and i know that for most they are a really good upper end grip but i just cant warm to them....Even a few years ago when i had the FG's first i didnt really like them...They just feel very slippy in my hands if i have any bit of perspiration...I do wear a glove as well...So im going to change them before our weekend Medal......

Now here is the issue.......Iv never used either of the above but there is at least 6 euro's difference in the prices......
Are the Multi Compounds really all that they are cracked up to be?
Or even though the Tour Velvets are cheaper are they the better option?

9 clubs regripped in the Multi's will cost me 108 euro's and in the Tour Velvets they will cost 72 euro so a good varience in price there.

Cant stand the tour velvets, much prefer MCs there again Ive always used corded grips so prefer that type of feel, not a right or wrong answer but what you prefer ultimately

Never used corded myself Fundy and its probably why im interested in hearing about them...... I have used a similar grip to the tour velvets i think they were a DD2 grip and the only issue i had with them was when they got wet i tended to have to hold the club tighter to stop them slipping.

When regripping best option for me if undecided is to get a couple of clubs regripped with the options initially, choose which you prefer then get the rest done, ie get you 7 iron done with a MC and your 6 iron with a tour velvet, hit some balls with both and see which you prefer

If youve never used corded grips one things youll notice is that your hands will start to callous a little if you practise a lot

I have Lampkin Cross lines on my R7's (Now for sale BTW ) and Multi Compounds (ND Yellow) on my Mizzy MP-32's and to be fair find it a coin flip between the two.

Multicomponds for me too. How about a diy job get some multicompounds around £3 a go as there is a new whiteout grip for 2012 and put them on yourself.

I just posted about taking off my multicompounds that have been used for 2 rounds and putting the original Mizuno standard grips back on, its horses for courses, I went for MC's as I heard great things, yes they are very good but I've played standard grips since a teen and its what I'm comfortable with.
I'm getting the mc's blown off (ooeerr missus) then selling on evilbay for £2.50 each (8)

Kid, I use Tour Velvets on my wedges, nice soft feel and always tacky. I then use MC's on my irons as they give best grip (for me) on faster swings.
I picked up 10 MC's for around £40 in blue and have these on my 4-9 iron with a few spares for when my woods need done.

My Tour edge wood and hybrid came with M/C and I quite liked them. I am getting my Pro Combos with M/C, and some new wedges with M/C as well. I quite like the idea of having the same grip on everything through the bag (putter excluded).

I think ill get one of each and see which i like....Seems the best way forward rather than going the expensive way and finding out i dont like them.
