Hi all,

Its a day early as I am at a golf day tomorrow but what are your golf plans for the weekend.

Clearly I am at a golf day tomorrow with a 9 hole Texas Scramble in the morning in a team of 4. I played with the same team last year and we came 2nd. Even with me in the team its the lowest handicap team but I am looking to win it this year. 18 holes of stablefored in the afternoon, I just want to play well, dont care about winning, 36 points would be fine with me as I am going to play clean fairway golf!!! :D The weather looks like it going to be bad but I am just going to try and stay dry and have a good time.

Saturday morning I am playing at home in a team competition with my buddy. I dont know what they call it but its teams of 2, best stableford score per hole. Weather looks like it going to be nice.

Both early mornings :(

What you guys doing?

Al

Not sure yet, some family things on so depends what time I get.

Definitely get out to play at some point and hoping to go and try out some irons aswell.

None :(

But on the plus side, I'll be in the 30 degree heat of the Catalan Area of Spain sunning myself for a week

Sounds nice, going with the Mrs? I take it you will hire some clubs out there?!!! :D

Playing tonight, 13 holes with some mates.
Tomorrow, 18 at Mill Hill with some guys from work in the pm, but likely to be rained off.
Saturday, medal. Another 0.1 back then.
Sunday, 30 mile charity bike ride, then maybe a few holes in the afternoon, or maybe hit the practice ground to work out where it all went wrong on Sat.

Just had my new wedges delivered this morning, so I'll be down the range Saturday morning getting familiar with them. Also need some serious practice with the wood, as the shanks I suffered with it last Friday was a considerable reason of me losing five balls and shooting a 118.

Playing the local 9-hole, Par 3 challenge course with a few friends on Sunday morning.

Mainly a practice weekend for me I think. Littl'un has birthday parties on Saturday & Sunday so will try and squeeze in nine holes Sunday PM and have a lesson booked for Saturday morning. Tonight will probably be the driving range and then up to the club to practice on Friday afternoon.

Still don't know what CSS was for last week's medal and whether I got a small cut or not :(

None :(

The Mrs and the neighbours...There just so happens to be a Greg Norman designed golf course not far from our hotel, so I'm hoping I might be able to sneak out for an afternoon and hire some clubs :D

You were shanking your 3 wood? :D

Well, not a shank per se, but it was going everywhere but where I was aiming for. I was playing a course I hadn't played before as I was visiting my old man and, after birdying the first, everything just unravelled for me. It's a fairly tough parkland course, but my game was just inexcusable.

Hope is a wonderful thing :D

Have a great break, I am off to our family place in the south of france in a few weeks. The golf is ££££!!!!

Seems like I'm playing Dad's taxi for most of the weekend...
Add into that hitting Tesco's and it's going to be a wondrous weekend..

Ye but you have already played 5 times this week right? :D

We have a 36 hole medal competition played as 18 holes Saturday and Sunday. It used to be the handicap part of our club championship played only on a Sunday but with too many people getting older the entry levels dropped and it was decided to spread it over a weekend.

Not playing as my jippy shoulder won't let me swing correctly so it's a waste of time. Instead I am going to Castle Stuart to see how it should be done at the Scottish Open.
Haven't been to see pro golf since 2005 so looking forward to it. It's my birthday tomorrow so I have agreat excuse to leave wife and kids at my mums who lives up there. Will walk about for a coupelof hours round the course, then find a nice sand dune overlooking the 10th and 11th and probably doze off. ;)
