Golf near Cambridge

Wyboston Lakes has a spa now but not sure how good or not it is. Course is prety good.
The spa is very very good, accom not so great but the packages make up for it. With such a good spa and the inclusion of meals and adze cent bar which usually have bands etc I'd recommend if as above the golf is good.

Not a lot of choice of hotels with spas and golf, near to Cambridge, but Wyboston has developed into a very nice complex.Golf pretty cheap and course is a decent track, not long, but beware of the water . I used to be a member at the Menzies course and is well established and a much sterner test and IMO a much better course and if staying in the hotel you get special rates.Hotel is decent with gym and pool. Based in Bar Hill theres not much else there, but only 10 min drive into Cambridge. Wyboston half an hour away.

Unfortunately there isn't too much option for golf and spa in Cambridge. As said, Menzies (Bar Hill) is the only option.

You could play Gog Magog or Saffron Walden which are more prestige, but there is nothing to do at those for non playing people.

In Cambridge this weekend staying in west of the city anyone recommend somewhere we could play a round early on Sunday, had looked at Girton golf club as right side of Cambridge but there website states no visitors before 1pm

You could try Bourn which a nice undulating course a few miles to the south west of Cambridge http://www.bourngolfandleisure.co.uk/golf.html or there is Cambridge Meridian may be worth a try.http://www.cmgc.co.uk/.It is not far from Bourn, between Toft and Comberton Have not played there for a few years but used to be decent track. There is also Lakeside Lodge at Pidley which is a bit further out near St Ives but I see they do a weekend rate of £20 before 7am (Is it light then ????) http://www.lakeside-lodge.co.uk/. This is a nice little course with good faciilties.Might be your best option. Are you playing with anyone? HID? Others again Menzies or Brampton Park near Huntingdon.

Looking for places to stay with a golf course close to Cmbrdge (ideally with spa for HID)

There's a spa hotel in Cambourne called The Belfry. If you base yourself there you're within reach of all of the courses mentioned so far. The best course in the Cambridge area is Gog Magog.

If you decide to stay at Wyboston then there's a really good indian restaurant in St Neots.
