Golf, more boring than Darts????

Can be inferred by extension though. I think most people who don't play golf don't typically watch it either.

But if that is the strategy that then the sport is screwed as a major spectator sport. The game needs to attract people to watch it who do not play it, as does any sport on TV.

On BBC it’s ok and Masters on Sky was ok but most golf on sky there’s to many adverts .
Not just adverts though the same adverts twenty times a night .
Most for sky if you didn’t have sky you would not be watching it .
Its getting to be like US tv .

Sadly the evening coverage is US direct feed and so a slave to the US advert breaks. They (Sky) don't actually go to a break each time and will cut back to the studio.

I didn't even notice that. The only exciting event in athletics is the 100m sprint. That's the one people care about. No coincidence that's also the one that takes the least time. As for the rest of it - who can throw this pointy stick the farthest? Who can throw this heavy plate the farthest? Who can throw this heavy ball the farthest? Who can jump over the highest stick? Who can jump over a higher stick propelled by a long bendy stick? Who cares??

According to the survey a lot more people than who care about grown men and women spending 4 days getting close enough to hit a small ball into a little hole in well manicured fields.

She's spot on, and I'm working with her about coming to play at my place in the Spring, She's bringing a partner but refuses to say who

I’d suggest she brings either a bodyguard, a high court judge compete with restraining order or a mental health professional....I would go for all 3

I notice your absence hasn’t cured your actual hatred of Golf?

It was a similar reply to a post highlighting the folly of reducing sports to meaningless descriptions. But pleased for you that your life is so full that you notice and feel the need to post that that some random person you've never met hasn't posted on a forum for a bit. Nice to know you care ;)
