Read this months GM cover to cover and needing some more reading so looked at buying Golf World or Today's Golfer, everyone seems to be offering the same Z Star balls and some features are very similar ie 'little gems' golf clubs. Are you all owned by the same company or are the features written by freelance journalists who sell to all the mags etc?

It goes in cycles.
It seems that every mag covers the same/similar topics every year with maybe a slightly different slant to it. If you keep the mags for a couple of years and compare the instruction reviews, the same things crop up. Not necessarily a bad thing...

A high profile player will get interviewed by all - eg Bubba seems to be everywhere this month and last

Equipment pages will obviously change regularly as new kit comes out.

And Srixon must have had a lot of stock of the old Z-Star to get shot of now the new one has come out.

Today's Golfer and Golf World are from the same publishing company but are different formats. Both are decent but I have to confessing to subscribing to Today's Golfer. I was buying it every month so when I seen the subscription offer I had to take it. £49 a year £12.50 every quarter with a free Srixon hat(very good quality) a Srixon towel and 12 AD333s AND 5 2fore1 vouchers and of course the mag delivered 2 days before it in shops. TG's forum is very poor though. I have not read GM yet but I may buy it during the week.

TG is a bit like a tabloid version of a golfing mag and seems very light on any real content apart from some basic instruction pieces and a lot of kit review (usually with the same faces winning). GW is a much better mag and some editions run our own GM pretty close with some very good articles
