Just in the process of buying golf insurance. Boy is it expensive! I recon it is going to cost me about £50 for the relevant cover. Thing is if my clubs got stolen I could not afford to replace them right away, and then there is the fear of the dreaded law suit arising from hurting someone with my power fade. Any advice? :D

Make sure you check what is covered and when. Some have exclusions that could affect whether you are covered or not. You may find that you aren't insured if you clubs go walkabout. It is worth reading the small print.

This subject has been raised before and with the summer season now under way is worth raising again.
IMO all golfers must have insurance for 3rd party cover
either by:-

a) As a visitor to another club/course covered by the green fee and this should be made clear by the club.
b) House insurance
c) Separate golf cover ie Golf Care and others

I find it odd that I have never been asked by any club whether I have TP insurance.

Whether to insure kit etc. is entirely a matter of choice.

Clubs -- Yes
H/C 13.7 (and rising)

I think I paid around £32 for everything and I am covered against theft from my locker (one of my key requisites) but I only really got it for the injury liability. I'm not sure if I'm covered if I leave my bag outside the locker room while I go to the bar or change my shoes etc (I doubt it) so everything is straight in the locker when I arrive, out to play and then straight back in again.
