Anyone had a golfing holiday in Morocco, around the Marrakech area a group of us a looking into it for 2024 in May, just wondering because of the recent earthquake and what the courses are/were like?
I've been there a couple of times and it is really good for golf. You pay less than half the price of Spanish Costa or Algarve courses for a far better product. There are about 12 courses in the Marrakech area, I've played about 6 of them and they were all very decent tests. We were there in March and November and temps were about 26-30 but a very dry heat. Course conditions then were good.
I recommended it to a friend's group and they went last November (previously they did Florida which became really pricey and Turkey but they had issues with tee times). They had a great time, enjoyed the courses and hotel and was about £400 a head cheaper than Turkey - they rebooked immediately to go back again this year.
If you want details of the hotel and golf booker we (and my friends used) pm me as I am not sure if I should post it on here.
I went on a golf trip to Marrakech in February of this year. Couldn't recommend the place highly enough. All the rounds were affordable, and there's quite a variety in terms of courses. We played Fairmont Royal Palm, Royal Golf Marrakech, and Assoufid Golf Club. The best course was probably Assoufid: tons of unique holes, mountain backdrops, and excellent greenskeeping. However, my favorite golf club overall was Royal Golf Marrakech: fun course, excellent clubhouse, and you're right in the middle of the city (it's also the oldest course in the area I believe). I organised the trip and booked all the rounds directly with the clubs. Send me a private message if you need any advice/help.
We’ve booked for January 2025.
8 golfers paying £650 for 3 nights All inclusive in 5* Kenzi Menera Palace .
2 rounds of golf at Assoufid & Samanah.
Flights from Manchester which include Golf clubs .. I think it’s a great price
