I think I need help! I think I am obsessed with this game!

All day I am thinking about clubs I want to try / that might be better. About swing changes I am trying to make or need to make. About my hopes and dreams for my next round on the course. About my where I went wrong and can save shots compared to my last round on the course!

Everything at the moment revolves around golf!

I play other sports regulary / lead a full and varied life, but never have experienced this interest in a hobby before!

(Was not even this bad when I play golf before!)

Am I alone in this?!

You are not alone, I have a similar obsession. Constantly looking forward to the next round and thinking about how I am going to lower my score (I will beat 90 one day).

As for golf gear, am tring to stop myself spending incessantly but it is not easy. Get bored at lunchtime and end up buying kit online. To be honest though, the only bit of this years kit that I am desperate to try is the Wilson Spine Driver, just like the look of it and now I have learned to hit a higher loft driver quite well it may be time to give a 10.5 degree another shot.

I have lost total interest in football this season since taking up golf again. I am sneaking golf gear in the house now, I was caught out on Sunday when I ordered some AD333s and had to buy the Srixon cap for £6 and I forgot to take it off after checking my gear :(

I made the mistake of encouraging my wife to learn to play. Whilst it has the plus side of getting me out on the course more and getting to play golf on holiday, it does mean that she can recognise new bits of kit as they appear in my bag. Most recently was rumbled for buying a new 3 wood.

This weather depresses me, wind without strong wind afterwards = closed course.
The only thing keeping me going is the thought of picking up my new 08 Octavia VRS tomorrow in met racing blue!

A fine and educated choice there brendy, hats off to the car choice mate.

Would love to grab a nice CLS-Class or Chrysler 300C but with a wedding to pay for I am forbidden from signing any h.p agreements!

I think about golf on the train into work, and on the walk to the hospital. The first thing I log onto when I get here is the GM forum.

My lunch hour is spent surfing the web for the latest goodies.

I think about golf on the walk to the station and on the train home. The first thing I do when I get in is log onto the GM forum and Strokesaver 2

I go to bed thinking about my next round and how this is going to be THE one. I dream about golf.

I think I'm getting a slight interest fo rthe game

Im off to the floodlit practice green tonight for another 2hours of short game training, plus a few full shots to help me with my swing plane

I loved that article Gasp, I read it a few days after it was originally posted. And am sorry to say found myself doing the same thing a few weeks ago Xmas shopping with the Mrs.

I'm totally and utterly obsessed too and my missus thinks its endearing but mental!

Got out to hit my new Macgregor M565s yesterday for the 1st time since I bought them due to illness. now I'm able to hit the ball again I'm totally dieing to get on the course.

Anyone else occasionally slip into a mode where you see the world around as golf holes. Was at my brother in laws wedding reception standing on a patio that looked down into a valley below and was starting to think how it would make a lovely par 3, nine iron to carry the stream at the bottom of the valley. Was brought back into the real world by a sharp dig in the ribs from the wife.

I'm an addict too. Beacuse of these reasons;

1) Too much time spent on this forum
2) Sometimes at work I get my clubs out of my car just to have a hold and practise swing
3) I am on friendly terms with the guys at the range
4) I have 2 golf calendars next to my desk
5) I have a lucky golf ball in my desk
6) I am always dreaming of golf
7) My desktop rough pad is covered in potential hole designs
8) I bring golf into conversation far too often
9) I get the arse if I havent played for a week
10)I get the arese if I havent been to the range for a couple of days
11) When I buy clothes I think "will this suit the course" as priorty when selecting my attire
12) I haven't been fishing for 18 months

Surely will think of more aswell
