Not sure if its been done before (probably has somewhere) but with all this focus on getting custom fitted with a matched shaft, tweaked loft and lies, forgiving cavity backs or blades, increasingly stiffer shafts etc etc I thought an interesting (note I said interesting, not scientific) experiment might be to take..........
2 male and 2 female golfers sets of clubs and swap them over for a round and see how they get on, just for fun and interest.

Came to mind when I picked up my wifes 7 iron at the range with light ladies shaft and large cavity head to show her a swing and proceeded to hit lovely long crisp 160yd-ish shots, felt I could really go after one as well. Might try the Ladies Driver next:rolleyes::smirk:

I have had two forays into this: Years ago my mother in law lent my wife some mizuno ladies blades to see if she was interested in playing golf. I played with them one day and they looked small and I like small clubs. It was horrible!! they were just too short and too light!

A few months back at the end of the summer I was playing in a team comp with three friends, one a lady and the mrs of my buddy. She was new to golf and had been given her mothers clubs. I picked up her pink Callaway driver with a ton of offset and a shaft like a bit of garden hose and slotted a drive down the practice ground with a lovely draw and peachy flight. I quickly popped it back in her bag and turned my back while . They all laughed at me.....

duno what the conclusion is...

David has occasionally borrowed my driver at the range if he hasn't taken his and always hits it a mile and looks at it and wonders. At which point I reclaim it as mine!

The guy we played in the winter pairs (4 handicap) had a driver with a pink shaft and purple grip...he was a leftie though
