Has anyone played the tournaments that are advertised on the Golf Empire website?, individuals/pairs/teams etc, looks like there are some interesting venues at a very good price for a day out, so if anyone has played at one I want to know how the day went re applying/organisation etc.

I think you will find that all the site is doing is listing various club open competitions, they do not organise or run the actual comps. These are details that you can get from the individual club's website or by ringing the club.

For example, they have details of the Junior Open that I run at my club. I have nothing to do with the Golf Empire website, nor have I provided them with any details.

This man is correct. :D

Useful site, it does miss quite a few so best used in conjunction with Golf Central and individual club sites.

It doesn't 'miss a few'.it is down to the clubs to advertise their opens through the website so if the club don't notify Golf Empire then it won't be on the site.
