I hope someone can help me with this one.

Is there a list anywhere of golf courses in Scotland that you can access from train stations nearby or a short taxi journey leaving from the station?

Prestwick.
Troon municipals. Royal Troon is walkable from Troon Station.
In truth there are probably hundreds, if not within walking distance, then a short taxi ride away.

Thanks all for the comments. I'm just looking to get out and about across Scotland to play on as many different courses as possible and leave the car at home. I'm in Lanarkshire with a train station on my doorstep.
Keep the suggestions coming please.

A lot of courses/hotels were build beside railways in the Victorian era, although in most instances the railways have now gone but the courses are still here, such as Gleneagles and Cruden Bay which were originally owned by the railways.
Also on the list would be Carnoustie which is about 100 yards from the station.

St Andrews is only a 5 minutes in a taxi from Leauchars train station.

The railway used to go all the way into St Andrews and ran along the side of the Old Course. The Old Course Hotel situated to the right of the seventeenth hole is where the engine sheds were and is still referred to this today.

Yep, ive put my ball onto the old track a few times on 16.
There is a great black and white picture in the Dunvegan hotel in town of someone playing off the railway track
