Does anyone get e mail / text reminders from their clubs about comps they've signed up for? Is there and easy way of doing this?

As soon as you enter a comp you get an email then you also get an email with your start time, we use intelligent golf and it works well.

Ours mostly work through HDID, get a notification when signing up, and a reminder in the week before. We do have some manual sign up comps that are not listed in HDID, no email notification for them.

If the club has your email address on file, we just get an instant email to confirm your time slot for the comp.

You sign up using HDID and it e mails you? how does this work?

The club registers the comp on HDID which allows you to book your place online. Once booked, HDID sends a confirmation email automatically, and sends a reminder the week before.

I enter on start sheet on club notice board in 1 of 3 time ranges then all I get is an email from HDID with my start time. (All individual comps are drawn)
Not for everyone, we have the very basic HDID package so we get no pre-alerts or notifications, just results.
Most clubs have all their comps on their calendar, I import those into my computer/phone, before we had an import facility I'd simply input all the comps manually onto my Gmail calendar on my computer from my diary, once I've registered for the comp 1 week before, I simply add the time.

As long as you have enabled the elerts on your profile. You can pay to upgrade your subscription with HDID to get the tee times and scores sent by text.

The alerts come from HDID and everyone registered has standard membership and you can set the alerts up yourself
Go to personal profile and set up alerts to e mail you comp times and results -
We don't book online using their start sheet facility like we did at my old club, so it's as I've said, the only time a comp is listed or mentioned on HDID is after when the results are published, as such we get no alerts.

Do you use the PSI to book on ? Or is it all sheets on the wall ?!
No, only to put our results into, all booking are through the Pro shop 1 week in advance of the comp.

It's the dark ages for us. Sheet goes up the week before and it's a mad rush to get your name(s) down. Only concession to the 21st century is the results coming through from HDID.
The club puts the tee times on the web site four-five days before hand and on the noticeboards in the club house. Doesn't send any reminders but it would be an interesting idea although cost and convenience could be an issue, certainly to start with
