Find out if your area authority (County) are running thisGood evening, following discussions with a local, very rural, very isolated golf club it has been floated that a bit of coaching may be needed at a very basic level for beginners to get into the game.
Are there any courses / qualifications for golf coaching at this very basic level that do not involve 3 years or more of pga degree? Are the qualifications recognised or just bits of paper?
Something like this could be a great move to get some more youngsters into the club and the club can definitely not afford a pga pro.
Ideas?

Bit concerned by playing test unless it's "can you shank this shot from the fairway to the deep rough?"There is the EGTF (European Golf Teaching Federation) that do courses for people who want to teach but don't want to do the whole PGA course, they might be worth a look.
I'm not sure about a playing test but I do know the EGTF used to have a h/cap limit.Bit concerned by playing test unless it's "can you shank this shot from the fairway to the deep rough?"
He can definitely demonstrate shanks from fairway to deep rough! Success!I'm not sure about a playing test but I do know the EGTF used to have a h/cap limit.
And if you are going to teach, it's probably good to be able to demonstrate the shots you're teaching
Cruel, but probably trueHe can definitely demonstrate shanks from fairway to deep rough! Success!
