Just a bit of fun for the long winter months.

We all know we are going to go crazy over the winter especially on here where people start to lose their minds.

I was on our range this morning practicing using my wedge and I found myself hitting the green with unerring accuracy from 115 yards so decided to hit 100 balls and see how many were on the green.
It doesn't have to be a wedge just the club you want to use.
Our practice green is about 10 yards long and about 20 wide the flag was in the middle of both measurements.
At the end I had hit the green 77 times 13 were just off less than a yard 7 were 3 yards max left of green and 3 were short of the green.

If your bored give it a go and see if anyone can get in the 90s.

Also try this 5 balls from every distance in 10 yard increments from 150 down to 50 so 55 balls in total and see how many are on the green,i have not done this one yet in its entirety but its really good for distance control.

Anyone got any challenges I can try also, cheers stops the boredom slightly.

Get yerself to a topgolf!

I went today for the first time in Surrey and it was a great laugh. The wife and kids enjoyed it and we will be going back. We paid for 4 games but we actually only used 1 game because it took longer than we thought for the 4 in our group to finish. The 3 games remain on the card so it wont cost us next time.

Upside

Its fun for all the family
You don't need to be any good at golf to enjoy it
A great way to introduce people to golf

Downside

No booking system so you have to wait a long time if busy
Quite expensive
Son's friend found a way to cheat by editing the scores

Par 18.

9 balls around a green say 30 feet from the flag. Chip all 9 balls, then putt from where they finish.
Par 18 is the goal. Record results and then see if you can beat your score.
Can change the distance from the flag to what ever you want.

I play 'compass' putting to a hole (sometimes to our small practice hole). Start from 1ft at 'North', then NE, E, SE, S, SE, W, NW. Then out to 18" around the compass starting again at 'North'. Back to North as soon as I miss. Then 2ft, 2.5ft etc until I can't get past East and I stop.
