Golf Betting 2016

JB Holmes will be one selection.

30/1 on PP. At the moment I'm looking at two form and two course horses -

Form:Cabrero-Bello (150), An (66)
Course Jaime Donaldson (125/1, managed a 67 at the Honda so can't be too far off) and Soren Kjedlsen who on paper doesn't have the game or form but placed 7 and 11 here before so must know his way around. Hopefully those hold if/when the 7 places get offered...

That's a point - does anyone know, if you place your bet now at 5 places, and then they offer 7 places later, do you only get the 5 yeah? I guess so, the prices change...

Picked Oosthuizen on the European tour and Garcia in the Honda as a win only double, backed them after their respective second rounds.Gutted to see Oosthuizen win and Garcia second to Adam Scott after finishing bogey bogey birdie

Ouch. Gutted for you, I'll be honest heading into the final day I wasn't sure how either Scott or Serg would hold up, there was a time all bets were off.

Agree, even though they are both superstar global golfers they somehow still find it difficult to close out a tournament, I did actually consider backing the 3rd 4th 5th fav going into the last round thinking Scott and Garcia could be caught.

That's pretty much what I did, Saturday morning I back Justin Thomas at 40/1, 1/4 places for 1,2 3. My thinking was of the chasers he has a good a chance as any to finish behind the run aways, but if the wheels came off it'd be pay day. As you say, there was a time you wouldn't have imagined the wheels could come off. In the end he tied for 3rd so that halved his odds again and only paid at 5/1, but still it was a return.

See any value at the WGC? Its hard to see anyone winning it from nowhere, and I'm not generally one to back a 20/1 horse when the places get slashed with ties.

Not at the moment but Wednesday's Racing Post stat study should hopefully yield some possibilities :)

Had a decent punt on Scott early into Saturdays round and his iron play as superb. He was cruising until he hit 15 when that quad wiped out his three shot lead. Was confident that he would have too much for Garcia who only really sank a putt on the last when it was too late. I was tempted to cashout when he reached 15 on Sunday and backed away from the tee shot a couple of times.

Just had a quick look on oddschecker where bookies are offering 40/1 for Oosthuizen to win the Cadillac.Thats big considering he's current form.

Well following on from Louis win last week, i dont think ive ever backed the winner of a golf tournament 2 weeks running but here goes..

Patrick Reed 40/1
Charl Schwartzel 40/1
Justin Thomas 40/1

All e/w, goodluck with your plays!
