GoKart Dilemma

never seen one bad comment about gokart CS- I've even recommended them to mates who wanted their first electric trolley. I've never even seen one in the flesh but the power of recommendations is high

Since the motor and gearbox are sealed units I don't see why you need someone to clean and lubricate the joints and wheel bearings. Some silicon lubricant is a DIY job. If you want to go to town you could make a small hole in the top of the gearbox and add a little silicon 'oil' for the plastic worm gear. Plug the hole with the plastic top of a BIC pen - for out of warranty trolleys, of course.

My first Powakaddy lasted 15 years and was still going strong when I gave it away; it needed a few batteries before I went lithium.

I'm in a similar boat as yourself having killed my Gokart buy going off road to many time through thick links rough. Murvagh was the final nail in the coffin.

Fortunately the service/upgrade to the automatic is going to be my christmas present from the folks so with a bit more sense I should get it to last a good bit longer but have the fresh 2 year warranty as piece of mind.

I have a 3 wheel MD push trolley as well that I had got as a back-up and for quick rounds after work when the thought of messing around with batteries etc would put me off.

Depending on the course you play and your fitness pushing can have an impact over the 18 holes, I know I feel it in my arms and legs on hillier courses. Would much rather have the electric.
