GM Forum Championships 2016?

Would the Belfry be a good central course? Its pretty easy to get to from down south? plenty of hotels nearby as well.

Pretty central in England but still a long way for the Scots lads to come down. Further north (Manchester ish?) would be better.

Couldnt agree more, easiest way to sort it all.

I would go as far to say if this was the format everyone was happy with i'd consider helping organise again.

If anything is to happen in Scotland and you want a hand organising just give me a shout.

Leeds/Manchester area would be a spot and some great courses to pick from. Would avoid the Belfry

I vote for a 36 hole national event at Alwoodley and Moortown if they could accomodate us.

isn't Ganton this around here as well? But that sort of level of course is a must to make it worth while to travel for those who do live more than a few hours drive away.

If this is serious, rather than looking at the centre of the Country, put a thread on for those interested and committed to attending for X amount of time, once thread closed look at furthest participants travel time and arrange somewhere in between that.
Or simply split in to 2 areas, North/South, individuals to arrange matches, top 4 from both regions then play at agreed venue for finals.

It's a bit further out nearer Pickering I believe. These 2 are right beside each other and believe me when I say Alwoodley is a stunning golf course and Moortown aint too shaby either.

No problem with these Val, only suggested Ganton as i seem to remember this always makes the top 100

I agree, almost across the road from each other, very easy to access, Travelodges and similar cheap hotels that side of town in Leeds also, both clubs very friendly and accommodating with Alwoody having a larger clubhouse/rooms.

A lot of work has gone on at Moortown over the last 18 months bringing it back to a more natural heathland course, lots of trees taken down, a great course still and was always a big favorite of mine up there until I went to Alwoodley, then wow :D
