Glove or no glove

Beats me how some people, can get so worked up over nowt?? Yes I wear a glove. I grip the club lightly. If I grip like that with no glove you can slide the club out off my hand, with little or no resistance. Try the same with a glove on and the club does not move unless you pull very hard. So to me it makes sense to wear one. As without I would have to grip the club to tight, restricting wrist movement. You only need one glove as the lower hand is passive in the swing and really does no more than support the leading hand. So for all you slicers out there that don't wear a glove:- buy one grip as light as you can and see the difference.

You know, the old glove question pops up often.

I use a glove and always will do, but when I practise with my "leadbetter-ed" 6 iron (that's a special grip on an old club) I can swing away for hours with no glove.

Co-incidence? No, I don't believe so - a decent grip will probably work with or without.

I do have a pair of my wifes riding gloves [no jokes please] in my bag for the cold weather.
They were a gift and too big for her, I reclaimed them from the charity shop bag.
I am surprised that more golfers do not wear a pair of 'winter gloves' as warm hands make club work.

i see it as a degree of comfort. i like the feel and makes me more confident in my grip. i have played without a glove a few times and was a bit lazy with my left hand, when i put the glove on, i can see where i line it up in my fingers. just a comfort thing for me. not a fan with a glove on a hot day though, hands get all sweaty in the glove, yuck!

I wear a glove and always have. But personally for me, its not because of feel. I use it as a trigger. When my glove is on its time to concentrate on my shot, when I take it off it's time to relax. Simple as that. I find it really helps towards the end of the round.

You must be stupid if you don't wear a glove. How are you meant to look the part if it isn't positioned half hanging out of your back pocket!!??;)

When Arnold Palmer started to do that in the 1960's, all the glove wearers copied him, before then they all putted with their glove on.....what does that tell you?

That people can choose to do what they want? I dont know, or really care I suppose, why you are getting your knickers in a twist over this.
