Here I go again,
Played this morning, we were 3rd group out. Two 3 balls in front of us, we were a 4ball. Very foggy couldnt see your finger in front of you. Anyway, we teed off, going alog nicely then all of a sudden we stopped dead, now they wearn't quick as normal but we thought they were playing at a desent speed. Nopw we got to the 10th, Amen. Every shot and I mean every shot we had to wait. The other 3 ball were 2 holes ahead. I spoke to the guys on the 11th and the 14th. They didnt say much on the 11th but the answer I got on the 14th was great. It turned out the 3rd guy was playing well with a score going, 20pts front 9. Final straw was the wait we had on the 18th fairway, I waited that long I forgot what I was meant to be doing. So to hell with it, I sliced one towards them (Opps did I really hit one that far right) The funny thing about it was that a guy was comming out of the locker room and my ball went through the open door while he was trying to get out. When I arrived at where my ball was one of the guys had lifeted it (OoB). He smiled at me with my ball in hand, opps red rag to bull. "Bit off line there Ian" opps another red rag. I lit on him and his 3 ball. That was the fastest I ever seen them move.
OK, it took them 4 hours, in a 3ball, holding up a 4ball which had a 3ball behind them who couldn't keep up with us. The 3ball had lost 2 holes. Was I right to have a go? I know and could understand 4 hours, but for a 3ball with an empty course in front. It took them the same time as if they were in a 4ball, no difference.
What you guys think?
I'll tell you the punch line at a later date!
