Playing today is was noticed that the distances on my Garmin vivoactive and my partner's Garmin S12 were quite a bit different.
We noticed this week for the first time last week so I deleted the course and reinstalled I before today's round.

I believe the data on his device is preloaded ?

I have a laser so can confirm his distances were more accurate.

Has anyone else noticed this ?

Yes. A member I play with regularly has the same watch. S62. We notice often that we can be as much as 10 yards adrift. We go to a sprinkler head or a 150 yard post to see who’s wrong but sometimes it’s figured itself out by then. I’ve noticed it can take a while to settle on the yardage on occasion.

I plug mine into the computer and search for updates regularly and it seems to stay more accurate for longer.
