Havn't played alot lately but managing to get out a bit more regular no I have the ping outing coming up.

Started to practice the short game again and putting extra work in with the flat stick. Anyway...

I knew that from my last couple of outings shooting 87, 88 that I had a better score in me and today I was adamant I was going to go sub 85 (not bad for a once monthly golfer I figure)

So after playing well tee to green but managing 9 bogies for the front 9 I was kinda wondering if I was gonna have to wait for another day to play well. I bogied 10 and had a par run for 11,12,13,14 and birdied the 18th finishing the back 9 3 over.

I know I need to work on my mid and long irons because that is whats preventing me scoring well, its only my short game that is allowing me to be putting for pars.

How is everyone elses game at the moment, and what needs working on?

so does ya shandy drinking, now jog on and stop littering my posts before I steal ya chicken nuggets :D

I can always play the back nine well, I just need to get out of the blocks earlier.

Currently working on everything. You name it, it is a work in progress.

No comps til the sun shines. That'll give my swing changes a chance to bed in. May be a couple of years then.

My game is the best its been and my confidence is sky high tee to green even if im pulling my 60 degree wedge a little, however my short putts are stopping me producing my best score ever but i feel a great scores just around the corner, single figures here i come.

Played crap today, shot 6 over - story of my year really, not lighting it up like I used to, still getting used to the new swing I bought from Amazon :)

Roll on Summer. Sun on my back. Greens worth putting on. Feeling in my fingers and toes.

I always thought our back nine was harder than the front but today didn't seem so. Guess I just needed to find my swing. I drove the ball better than I have ever done today and it helped alot.

Think I might have to bite the bullet and get on the range to groove the irons again.

I'm still trying to bed my new address and turn in and it is a work in progress. Its coming and so I'm confident that when the gold letter event over Easter comes I'll be ready. The short game is next for a revamp but that is more a question of erasing some bad habits and getting some practice in

Putting is a bit on and off at the moment - on last monday, offish today - but its definitely my iron approaches that need to be more accurate. Missed a lot of greens today although to be fair several are unreachable in regulation at the moment.

Dunno :D

I played a couple of weeks ago and got fed up of the 'damp' conditions and walked in after 9.
I didn't feel I hit the ball particularly well but totted up my score at +3 39, which I would normally be more than happy with.

Playing in a comp tomorrow morning (which I can't win anything in - long story) so hoping for drier conditions (yeah right!) and a temp above freezing.

I was that fed up with trying to steer my trolley around all the mud I've swapped my clubs over to the carry bag.

I might as well shout "Fore" halfway through the backswing at the moment....and that's just the chips.

Playing Craigielaw on Valentine's Day though and planning to show my opponents some love.
