Having got frozen and soaked over last couple of weeks, decided to treat myself to a wind jacket and waterproof jacket, anyone recommend where I can buy last years versions from (I am assuming they will be cheaper)

Galvin Green is not really discounted. Especially at this time of year. I would have a look on ebay as you will get a better deal on there. Or try Clubhouse golf they have last years models but are still £150 for a jacket.

I wore only a base layer, polo shirt and my new soft shell Bates jacket yesterday and with a 3-club wind in what must have been a minus temperature, I was never cold and more importantly didn't have multiple restrictive layers on.
