Galvin Green forum comp...the winner is

thanks to everyone who contrubuted to this a few weeks back - some really good tales of battling the elements.

After careful consideration the GalvinGreen judging panel decided that DarthVega's story about playing in a horrendous weather during a 36 hole comp was the winning entry.

The judges said they felt particular sympathy for DV as had had to sit there with wet trousers during lunch as his waterproofs bottoms had let water in!

So, well done to DarthVega who'll get a brand new Galvin suit in exchange for his current suit.

Please email me michael_harris@ipcmedia.com and I'll let you know what to do.

As a little bonus Galvin decided to offer an Aura rain hat to the two runners up which were judged as TobyRich1928 and snaphookwedge

Again if they email me their home address we'll get the hats sent out. Also let me know if you have particularly big or small heads otherwise it'll be the standard size L that you'll be sent.

where do you get this (fantastic) news from?

personally I am really hoping that Darth has to post a complaint that he's not been able to use his wonderful new rain suit for the last couple of years because it only rains at night now.....

Well my night has just got fantastic!:thup: Time for a G&T to celebrate, thank you Mike, GM and Galvin Green............I'm now going to enjoy playing in the rain....
Can't wait to trade my current suit in, believe it or not the zipper went 2 weeks ago and it's only the studs that work on the jacket now..............

P.S I'll do a review on it once I have it to help others who might be interested.
