Galvin Green Ad

I have an iPhone , I didn't like the mobile version so opted for the full version
I have no advert problems at all

I use the mobile version on iPhone and it loads every time I open a new page, annoying to say the least.

I have no problem with advertising on the forum as it pays for things GM can offer us.

However, there must be something wrong with this one. As others have said, it's every time you load a page on a mobile device, but I wondered if clicking it would stop it once looked at.

Nope! In fact, it doesn't open a new browser, but goes straight to the GG site. Which means if you use the 'back' button, it returns to the GM forum page... and then launches the pop-up again!!

I'll email Mike about this in case he not aware.

That's horrible....... on my iPad, like Phil, that add pops up and fills the screen almost every time I touch the screen. I appreciate that ads pay for this site, but when they are that intrusive it no longer becomes usable.

Switched my iPad to full site mode and the add disappears......

I have asked the guys who serve the ads to look into it - I agree its annoying being served on every page

as ive said before you can always email me on these things as that'll often get a faster response than just posting up here

At the end of the day it's small world problems and there was a way around it so it wasn't really a priority as such

i agree it was annoyimg and have to confess i hadnt looked at the site on mobile since tuesday so hadnt spotted

Isn't a case of [was] unfortunately Mike, its still a case of [is]!

I can't use my mobile still, last night I was away from my PC and reliant on my mobile and every time I opened an email notification link to the site it took me to the thread but then the Galvin Green advert showed its face momentarily and then threw me back to my emails!

Even if I don't attempt to scroll in the milliseconds I get and leave it on the last post, it rebounds back to my emails after a quick flash of Galvin Green.

I've heard of alternative marketing tricks but this is putting me off GG and is keeping me off GM when away from my PC, or is this the actual ploy

just looked at 20 plus pages on my phone - banner ad serving but didnt open unless i clicked on it

Yes, was in London all day/night yesterday and couldn't open anything in GM through the email notifications on my mobile, just rebounds back to my emails after a short flash of Galvin Green. No issues getting on anywhere else.

I have a HTC Sensation in case that's relevant.

I have an HTC and I was having problems with it a few days ago, but it seems ok since they nerfed it
