Hi all,
I have posted this in this section as its not something I am working, I am just asking out of interest.
I believe we are taught to try and keep our hight constant during our swing. I also believe that we are taught that the swing should start from the ground up, feet, knees, hips and then arms.
I was just out hitting some fake shots while having a fag and I could see my reflection in the window in front of me. As one moves ones hips to the left side prior to turning them and keeping ones head over the ball the body arcs. By proxy if the body is arced, hight must be lost, it is then of course gained again at the finish.
Surly with a real golf swing its not possible to not lose some hight at impact? Also while we are at it surly if ones is losing hight one can hit fats and thins, does the lag in the club smooth this out? or is this about being at the same hight at impact as you were at address... and is that possible if the hips have moved forwards.
Anyhow, I am interested in peoples take on this...
