G20 Driver

Its not so bad, maybe a bit funky for the old boys but it will be simple on the crown I bet.

i think its bad that GM cant have spy pics up if their available everywhere else all over the net. if they were that private spy they wouldnt be anywhere

GM is not just a website and it may be that Ping give them toys to play with so its best they play nice.

my point exactly, i typed "ping G20 driver" in google and the list of replies were pages long, Why should GM miss out on site traffic just because ping are ancey about it, i dont see them exactly policing the net about it.

I dont think they will be but and they may not care at all and we have not seen GM say not to post about it. I think Ian was just being respectful as TM made a bit of a fuss about there R11.

Because I would suspect that there is in place a press embargo to prevent the early publication of details. Because this site is part of the magazine, the publication of links or images could easily be seen as a breach of the embargo and as such could prevent GM having access to equipment, exclusives etc in the future. I would suspect that the other web sites do not have any ongoing relationship with Ping or other manufacturers that they have to maintain and as such publish whatever they get their hands on. I see no problem with this. Ping, for example, may want to tie in their official press release with an advertising campaign etc.

As for the appearance on the R&A website, I would suspect that it is not unusual for a manufaturer to check their design is legal before the press release. I cannot say that I check but I am sure that most new release drivers appear on the R&A website before the official announcement. Not 100% sure butI seem to recall that Nike released one of the earl SQ models before it had passed the R&A tests and was deemed illegal so a new model had to be released to replace those sold.

Anyway, I am just erring on the sde of caution due previous issues with links to unofficial pictures of the R11.
