Big carries over long rough are daft imo! Just another way to slow a round down and make it less enjoyable!

Par 3s are the way to test 'carry'!

Used to play one course that had a par 5 -18th hole that was 570.The drive to the fairway was 220 to the first cut.Back 20 yrs ago when i played there no issues.Now that I'm pushing 50 it might be an issue.Especially that this course can be quite windy and the 18th usually played into a wind
