So I had an idea tonight and I am sure a few people wont want to get involved... which is fine - don't

But I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's swing - I have read some peoples advice on here and thought wow they must seriously hit it like Rory and alternatively people mention they hack it round regularly and score high 70's so I think it would be interesting more than anything if we made a thread full of peoples swings?

I will start - put what you want in the post but maybe years playing the game, handicap and whether you are self taught / lessons from the start / occasional lessons etc would be good info...

Like I say its not about comparing these like stats just abit of fun and a chance for people to have a very small insight into your game


Ive been playing 3 years and had a few lessons early on for fundamentals.... then spent a year or so hitting balls down the range trying my hardest to stick to what I had been told...

Currently off 19 and on my way down with 2 cut in my last two outings

My brother filmed me in the callaway kings of distance day. I didn't know he was filming me. Jo Miller hits a ball behind me, I think his swing speed is a tiny bit faster then mine . It's the only vid I've got of my swing.

My swing has hardly changed, flat, but it works. Still play to 5 comfortably.

I'll play

5.1 handicap but dropping. Played socially every now and then for a few years (probably at 18 handicap level at a guess) then decided to give it a 'proper' go about a year ago. Initial handicap was 5.5 (EGU refused to issue me a cat 1 handicap straight off) but dropped to 5.1 on my first submitted round so hopefully onwards and upwards from here. Have lessons but do most of the work myself, just ping ideas off my pro and he knows my bad habits pretty well so keeps me on the straight and narrow, probably only have one lesson every few months though.

Looks fairly slow but isn't really. Didn't have sound on that one but with the sound on it gives a better idea of the strike.

Been working on getting a more compact swing, probably swing a tad shorter than this right now but an 8 iron goes a tad over 150 on a good strike so don't really need to swing hard or fast.

Been playing properly about six months, had a few lessons. Playing off 28 but don't have an official handicap. Best round I had was 116.

Working on getting on the right plane, I'm too steep at the moment. Can't seem to get my left arm lower in the back swing
