I am looking to change my irons and, after good reviews, are drawn to either Mizuno MX-100 or MX-200.
The question is whether a 20 handicapper will gain any benefit from a forged iron?
Thanks in advance

I've just bought the MX200's and it was completely a personal choice, I just love the sweet click as the ball leaves the sweet spot (as it does every now and then) :)

I have no doubt whatsoever that I could play equally badly with either set! :D

I personally don't think you will gain any clear advantage playing with the MX200's at your handicap.
The slightly better "forgiveness" of the 100's could possibly be of more use to you?
The only benefit I could see of spending the extra on the 200's is it would be easier to find somebody to adjust them for you should the need arise at sometime in the future. They would also possibly hold their value slightly better.
But if you are an improving golfer and can afford the 200's I'd go for them. They are a better club, and will last you for years and years. If your handicap comes tumbling down in the future you are not going to feel at a disadvantage playing with them. I doubt if there are many single figure golfers playing with 100's but I bet plenty are playing 200's.
Hope all that makes sense???
