Forest Pines.

Just back this evening from a couple of days at FP.
Played the Forest & Pines combo both days, Absolutley superb!
Can't speak highly enough about the place, the course was presented in tip-top condition. No signs of "Lack of growth" that folks from other inland courses are complaining about, the greens were as good as I've seen on my travels.
The Staff couldn't be more helpfull, yeah the bar prices were on the steep side but par for the course at these type of Places. Not so steep in the shop though a dozen of the new B330s (2012) for £25!

Interestingly the shop doesn't stock Titleist gear, couple of guys were miffed they couldn't buy pro v's. Presuming the group doesn't do business with Acushnet for some reason.

Often fancied a trip there Rod,Pagaz was in for head mans job there a bit back but turned it down if I remember correctly,I often wonder what would have happened to the great man if he had went there...

I would recommend it highly - I went with a group of lads about 6 years ago and the weather was awful almost every other course in the area was shut but Forest Pines was in great nick and whilst not as much fun as two separate 18 holers your will find that the 3 nines are all good quality (whereas 36 hole resorts tend to have one good and one poor 18). We played Woodhall Spa on the way up to Forest Pines which made a good trip awesome - bit of a drive but if you played Woodhall and then stayed and played at Forest Pines you'd be in wonderland.

I'd go Woodhall and then Seacroft (Skegness) or Market Rasen - more traditional choice
