This problem is more often caused by and early release of the wrists which shallows out the angle of attack into the shot.
So to improve that, you need to increase the angle of attack into the ball.
Try this.....
Place a second ball about 12 -15in behind your target ball as per the video. That will help you feel the club coming in steeper into the ball

Bob, I would appreciate if you could show any drills for getting your hands ahead of the clubhead at impact, it's a problem i've fought with for a while now.
