I would be grateful if anyone who has Footjoy DNA shoes could confirm what size they have in relation to their own shoe size. Was there any requirement to take a slightly smaller size than usual?

Would appreciate your feedback.

Thanks

I'm normally an 9 1/2 in most shoes and Adidas golf shoes

My DNA are a whole size smaller

Not DNA but I tried on AWDs last week in a Size 12 which is my normal size and they were massive so I would probably go for a size smaller. This is despite using a footjoy foot measures which showed I was nearer a 13!?

Thanks to all for the feedback. In the shop they reckoned most people were going for a half size smaller. I tried the full size smaller and my concern is that although the shoes are leather, and will stretch, the full size smaller might be too much and too tight overall, thus the reason for asking what others have found with the sizes they've bought.

I'm also considering BOA, as I had them in footjoys on the past and liked the fit. Does anyone have them on their DNA shoes and are they a worthwhile premium to pay?

FJ say they may be as much as one size smaller than other brands (Adidas for me), but they have so many widths available you might find they even smaller shoes fit if the width is better.
All the styles should the same though, once you have a FJ sizing done it shouldn't change based on the model chosen.

Yep, wouldn't disagree with that.In the past I have generally been able to buy size 8.5 Footjoy shoes and wear them straight out of the box without any issue, knowing that the size is the right one for me. When I tried the DNA 8.5 it felt huge.

Have worn Footjoy for the past 10 years and thought I knew my size as as you say it shouldn't change, however, I have had to drop half a size for the DNA.

The only thing they mentioned that could cause a slight difference was if the lace area was a V or a U shape. The fitter specifically said that ALL their shoes use the same 'form' when they are made, no matter which shoe style.

I would say though I've never had Footjoy shoes before but was professionally fitted by FJ fitter (not just a pro shop guy), and the fitter gave me three different shoes that all fit me fine, but had ever so slight differences in feel to the lace section and heel section. All three were the same model but were 9.5W 9.0M and the ones I went for were 8.5W .... I could of easily walked out with any of those sizes and felt happy I had fitted shoes.

I thought they had printed the size label wrong, kept getting measured and re-measured, even had my other footjoys with me and checked them both together, definitely the best Footjoys I've owned.

I had my feet measured by a Footjoy fitter, he told me I needed a wide fit shoe in both DNA and other Footjoy ranges. He also told me that I was a size 9 in DNA, but 9.5 in the other ranges.

I have a pair of DNA BOA shoes and they are by far the most comfortable shoes I've owned for playing golf in.

I disagree my foot joy sports were standard 10, but when I got the boa version I had to drop to a 9.5.
