Yes I agree with most of that, Wilsheres tacking is hopeless though. A real liability, Cresswell worries me most though, he was terrible last year and looked very suspect pre season.

Hasn’t been the same since his knee injury after the payet season

Been a complete wuss when it comes to tackling , afraid to get hurt again it seems

Wilsheres tackling may be suspect but he won’t be on the pitch enough for it to concern me

Solid 8/10. Some god signings in midfield and wide but still not convinced the club has addressed our defensive frailties which may cost us an automatic promotion place and so we'll be reliant on the play-off lottery

Bemused by the Iwobi signing but otherwise I think we have bought well.

Agreed. Happy with the business we've done. Don't know a great deal about Gbamin and not 100% on the Iwobi signing, but happy on the whole. If we'd got Zaha and Rojo over the line it'd have been an 11/10.

With Seamus, Holgate, Gbamin, Davies, Iwobi, Walcott and DCL on the bench, the team looks pretty strong to me and a nice improvement on last year.

So what’s the Toon lads verdict on re-signing Andy Carol? I’m guessing there was no medical involved and he would have signed on a pay-as-you-play deal?
Personally I hope he does well and has a decent run of games, I always liked him and it wasn’t his fault he was a walking wreck!
He will always be welcomed at the London stadium and if he does turn up - as an injured spectator - it will be just like old times...😁

As a lifelong Mag I think it's a really good move from Steve Bruce.
Andy C is a top player, when fit, and was always a favourite for the Toon Army.
With a new winger to supply Andy it could be a lethal combination.
Some decent signings for us, but some unfortunate offloading.
We hopefully will make top half of the table and get a decent cup run.
Can't wait for Sunday - 3 points in the bag 😬

I've always liked Big Andy. Good player that no defender would love coming up against. Hope he can get fit and do well.

Always had a soft spot for Carroll. When he was fit(!!), I always felt like he put a shift in.
Mind you, I was shocked at how off-the-pace he was when he returned at the end of last season. Obviously extremely rusty, but I wonder if this legs have gone?

A real case of what could have been. When he was at Newcastle he was a real threat.
