6 weeks ago I purchased a pair of fj sport golf shoes. Well today after only 7 rounds I noticed the sole has come away from the shoe at the front. Is this common as I'd rather exchange for something else rather than another set of these if it's a common fault

Lasted longer than mine. I had 2 rounds out my first pair and 3 out the second. Both leaked and split. Now back with Adidas and loving them.

Very unusual for FJs but I've heard a few horror stories from guys who bought them at my club. I'd be looking for an exchange for a different pair of FJs or I can highly recommend the TW Nikes. They are the most comfortable pair of golf shoes I have ever owned.

It seems to be a major problem with this model. HTL had two pairs which split and leaked after only a few rounds and it seems it wasn't an isolated incident. Its strange though as I've not heard of any other FJ model having as many problems. Perhaps there is an inherent design/manufacturing fault.

My advice would be to take them back and get a refund or a different pair but also write to FJ customer service and complain and see what they say.

I'm kinda glad it's not just me I've always wanted to own a pair of fj's and when the sports come out I really wanted them. I've also noticed their gloves not lasting very long as well ( on average 3 to 4 rounds ) makes me wonder if they have changed their manufacturing as the fj gloves used to last me ages

Must be the way you grip the club. My FJ R7 and R9 are cabretta leather and so pretty thin but the R7 in particular has lasted over 6 months of regular use and is only just wearing in the palm. THe Sciflex gloves last ages

I'm sure it's the sciflex I'm having trouble with. I've used some real cheapies with no issues yet sciflex are lasting on average four rounds. Problems seem to be excessive stretch making the Velcro useless

I found that the velcro was not great after a while on the sciflex gloves too, recently got a stasof glove and the velcro is not great on that either...............

Well ive spoken to the shop i ordered them from and they have agreed a no issue replacement which is fantastic (massive thumbs up to golf shoes direct's customer service)

Chris, im glas its not only me that has expereinced this. I purchased 2 new sciflex gloves around 4 weeks ago, and since then have played around 6-8 rounds, i reckon i have around 1 round left in one, and 2 rounds left in the other before both a shot and need to be replaced again. I've finally found someone local who does the Taylor Made gloves so ill be trying them next. for me 4 rounds from a glove is just rediculous when i brought cheapies from ebay that have lasted 4-5 months each (so around 20-25 games approx. I wouldnt mind but the cheapies also done alot of range work, which the sciflex ones have not.

well i emailed footjoy with my experience.....

Dear customer

thank you for your recent email regarding your purchase of the FJ Sportsgolf shoes, I am sorry that you have been disappointed with the quality. All FJ products come with a 12 month warranty against material ormanufacturing defect, so you are quite right to return your shoes forreplacement if you feel they are faulty. Although every effort is madeduring the course of manufacturing to examine all shoes for qualityworkmanship and materials, we do occasionally have a pair of shoes thatmake it to the shop floor that is below the highest standard that westrive to provide. We sincerely apologise and hope that you are happier with thereplacement. regards, Jan FJ Customer Service
