Fog lights...

Fascinating subject. Really intriguing.

Maybe we can expand the discussion to debate whether automatic headlight technology could be applied to fog lights too? This could ease the frustrations that are articulated in this thread. It could change the world as we know it.

I would love to stay and talk this wonderful subject through but must dash as I have something preferential to do - slamming my hand in a car door repeatedly.

Sometimes, the utter inanity, pointlessness and dullness of this forum genuinely beggars belief.

Yet you felt compelled to comment on it :mmm:

I'll wager there's a few of us looking on unsure of what to make of the thread, Snelly's comment does make sense

I can understand people's frustrations with drivers who drive with their fogs lights on - it could be dangerous. So I can see why people would comment on it

Yes but I'm commenting in the sheer banality of the topic rather than the subject matter. Can you not appreciate the skull numbing tedium of the thread?

Still at least it makes a change from football.

Can indeed

Thought the comment was about the subject as opposed to the way the thread went

I once saw a team coach with its fog lights on *shocked of Yorkshire*

Not one of 'our' best threads. The shear level of nit picking over a joke... I've seen my 4 yr old g'daughter show more reason...

Back on track a bit.

Fog lights are a royal pain when not required (100 metre visibility I think as mentioned way back in the threaad).
If used out with this distance I think they are illegal. You will (can) be pulled by the cops, fined and points (?).

One of my pals was pulled a few years back on a genuine mistake. Pea souper on M-Way, after midnight on a weekend. Came off and into town where fog cleared and under street lamps, forgot his fogs, pulled and done despite the mistake. He did have a 'boy racer' type Focus ST despite being a few decades beyond a boy!
