Anyone else had problems after getting theirs ?.

About a week after getting mine, it started with a sore throat and tickly cough, now it's a deep chesty cough, runny nose, feeling terrible for 5 days now.
The wife who's 3 years younger ] got hers at the same time and she's fine.
I heard somewhere there's different strength jabs for different age groups.
Ironic , a coffin dodger with a bad cough

4 Adults in our home, ages range from 25-74, all have had the flu jab and none of us have had any issues.

The content every year varies slightly so its possible you could get side effects, even if you had no problems in previous years. No issues here

I had one once when I was a student. Within days I had flu, first and only time I've ever had it. My flatmates never let me forget it. Genuine flu makes a cold feel like a walk in the park.

It was horrible, I know that. The annoying thing was I'd made a fuss about how I was going to be snuffle free that winter and then came down badly with flu within days of getting the stupid jab. I looked a proper idiot.

I read that it's only between 30 and 60 % effective
Side effects sound like all the symptoms of flu.......
They say that if you have flu you wouldn't bend over to pick a tenner off the floor.
If that's the case then I've never had flu in 55 years....
Will probably get bullied into having one by HID though...

I never use to have them until about 5 years ago when the surgery go really funny about me not having it as part of my diabetic treatment and it seemed the easiest thing to stop the hassle. The hospital are trying to get as many to get vaccinated as they can and because I work in such a high risk area (ICU) the managers are really keen all staff are done.

In all probability the flu you had was already in your system when you had the jab, just unlucky .
As for OP probably same issues in that already had the bad cold/ cough incubating in their system which is 3-5 days .

HiD is Chief immuniser for her Trust ;)

I'm sure you are right. It was just a heck of a coincidence.

I should add, I fully back immunizations, all power to your missus.
