So I have started a course of lessons with a new Pro, as I realise that that I am never going to improve with such a weak and fragile swing. Quite how i managed to even get to 16 amazes me sometimes.

So we have gone back to fundementals, to build me a firmer stronger swing.

Todays lesson (second one)was all about turning my shoulders and he highlighted something no other lesson has ever done- my lack of flexibilty.

I admit I was really suprised- I might be in my mid fifties, but I think I am in reasonably fit, but no gym bunny.
My weight is pretty much spot on for my height, and I don't have a tummy.
I can touch my toes easy, sit cross legged in full Lotus position, but it seems my flexibilty is all in my legs and arms.

Trying to turn my shoulders, whilst keeping my bottom half quiet isn't too successful!
The hips start going as soon as they can!

So he has given me exercises to try and improve my flexibilty and "separate" the top and bottom halves.

Now I'm off to do The Twist....

My main focus at the moment is trying to improve my flexibility increase range of movement in my shoulders.

First step is to try and lose some weight so I'm doing loads of cardio at the gym, then I'll move onto yoga/pilates/body ballance as I believe they are great for increasing core strength and flexibility.
