Flaming June!

In South-East England we have had severe thunderstorms that in some places dumped a month's worth of rain in a few hours, causing flooding. I did manage to play golf this morning, but with lots of puddles and flooded bunkers, it was more like Winter golf. It started to drizzle as we played the 18th hole, and not long after that it was tipping it down again. Flaming June! ☹️

Suffering with you del, its winter here so the temp is down, frequency of rain showers is up & commuting in the dark is no fun. Flaming June!

End of June and we've yet to have fast, running fairways and hard, bouncy greens down here.
It's been a bit like October/November, just a bit warmer.....

Bright sunshine all day today in work but back home, 20 miles away,it really threw it down for a couple of hours. Did the course a world of good though.

It's been another scorcio day here. Got sunburnt yesterday despite slapping the suncream on for golf.

Only made it to the 14th yesterday before the heavens opened up and the sky went a scary purple colour with flashes and thunder in the distance!

Played Wednesday - 36 holes - morning was a wash out. Afternoon grey and miserable. Changed for dinner and putting stuff in the car in boiling hot sunshine!!!

Drove to the Grove yesterday in high Summer sunshine. Had lunch and came out to warm up before tee off. Guess what? Torrential shower. Played the round brolly up brolly down in windy chilly boiling conditions thereafter.

British Summer is a joke👎🌧

Got caught in a couple of heavy showers this morning so grateful for the waterproofs. Loads of standing water from the deluges this week but overall the course holding up well
