Flaming June!

Hardly anybody has got on our course this week due to the constant, heavy, unrelentless rain costing thousands in lost revenue, our Ladies Open has been cancelled and we are now closed today due to even more constant rain, but hey, not to worry though, the course looks lovely!

:D

We've had quite a bit of rain, but nothing like where you are. When you've had it like that you're quite within your rights to have a pop. IMHO.
Although someone used to tell me that I've never had a HO in my life. LOL

Excuse me whilst I complain about the heat..
I was in Palermo today and there was freak weather from Africa coming in, car read 45c (Yahoo weather puts it at 42c today) frikkin crazy for June.
Only 2 hours away but the weather where I am now is much much cooler, i do not think it reached 30c
So this is one complaint for FLAMING HOT JUNE WEATHER

45C! or 113f

Currently got a light show of lightening with some loud double base thundering in the background, it's like being back at a 80's rave 😜

Played 9 holes quite early in the morning in the hope that the showers wouldn't develop until later. I was wrong and got wet yet again! A pretty heavy thunderstorm again this evening!

We had a serious amount yesterday but by and large liverpool has been warm muggy and dry.

certainly is localised as thunder passed on wed which flooded Frodsham whilst never entering liverpool.

dry here for the first time since Tuesday lunchtime.

have a tie arranged for tonight and the forecast is hosing it down all afternoon.... great, at least its a scratch comp so he might not fancy it either;)

I hope that's heading south!! Bucketing down in Aber-splash

Had some impressive showers yesterday, resulting in local flash flooding, paths washed away etc etc.. Was fun to watch, but not looking good for tomorrows medal.. Oh well, might save me from my usual 0.1.......

Likewise the rain that flooded Cheshire Oaks on Tuesday was biblical but in Runcorn it was dray

Bar Tuesday which was pleasant, this week has been mild and wet, but only light rain, weekend is looking better and out course is open so it'll be a dry round tomorrow.

Val all this time you are spending in Englandshire, you have gone all posh English.

"Chaps, its Dray at them moment, tally ho to the course what"

we had a couple of big thunderstorms in sussex today ,some real good bangs echoing about .
the second storm was accompanied by a hail storm ,looked like the lawn was covered in snow.

In South-East England we have had severe thunderstorms that in some places dumped a month's worth of rain in a few hours, causing flooding. I did manage to play golf this morning, but with lots of puddles and flooded bunkers, it was more like Winter golf. It started to drizzle as we played the 18th hole, and not long after that it was tipping it down again. Flaming June! ☹️

For once soggy Cumbria has seen good warm dry weather for weeks, Silloth on Solway bone dry. Three seperate fires on the shoreline required fire bridge attendance at the weekend.

Maybe worth relocating from the grim south!
