Fitting day.

My club is having a fitting day with Wilson and I'm in the market for a new driver and wedges. They're using Trackman to compare current clubs with the new Wilson's.
So interested to know if many of you guys use Wilson and how you find them? Secondly anyone been to these fitting days and what do you think of them?

I always enjoy demo days and the chance to try new gear. Most of the fitters are good guys and won't try and hard sell you their wares (compared to high street retailers) but will try and find a better c.ub/shaft option based on the track an numbers. It is sometimes advisable to book a fitting slot if it gets busy so you can get a guaranteed chunk of time with the guy.

I've not used Wilson for years but the set I had were decent enough and to be honest, even if you just use the session as a testing ground to see if there's a chance to improve distance/dispersion use the opportunity to get so,e info and they look at other makes. That isn't to say Wilson don't make good gear and so you might find something you like

Wilson was one of the great names back in the day, and although they lost their mojo for a while and produced some garish and clunky stuff, they seem to be back with some pretty good equipment now and not quite the prices of the top end brands. They have good components and a decent range, so I would go in without too many assumptions and see where the fitter guides you.

Ahhhh, Wilson, that takes me back.

First ever new set of clubs (late 80's) were Wilson Sam Snead. Bunking off school to play 9 holes......

Can't speak for the irons, but my first 'proper' driver was the DXi Superlight, which I often wish - even to this day - that I never let go.

Currently using the FG Tour M3 fairways and hybrids, and they've been top-notch. £ for £ you won't buy better.

As others have said, don't go in with any preconceived ideas of what you want. Let the data and the fitter drive what works for you. They've done thousands of fittings, this is your first.
Don't be embarrassed if you chunk your first few warm up shots, he'll have seen it all before so try and relax and enjoy it.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Take a notepad to record any stats (you won't remember them all afterwards). Better still, if the fitter doesn't mind, try and record the fitting session.

Thanks for the advice. Going to be interesting to see my stats, never used Trackman before.
My driver just now has quite a high flight and one of the pro's reckons it might be to much spin.
