Has anyone used a fitter in the South London/Surrey area?

I want to get my current irons looked at and try some combos of heads and shafts but without pressure to buy. Managed to drop my handicap quite a bit since starting a few years back and am still using the same R7's I picked up blindly off the shelf. Want to see if my clubs actually suit me or if I am just making the most of what I have.

Callaway has a fitting centre in chessington , i used it and it cost £40 at the time which you got back when you bought clubs , get your pro to book you in and spent an hour there , there is a nice course close by for you to play as well , good luck

A member of my Club works at Golf Principals in Basingstoke. Hopefully not too far out for you. They have all the brands, and the widest selection of shafts (according to them) Think it is £50 for a fitting, indoors, and no pressure to buy. If you are interested ask for Henry, and he will look after you.

Internet golf store on the 217 is a registered fitter for most key brands with a fitting studio on site. Good bunch of lads there

Thats ideal for me, I life about 200 yards from the A217, can nip out there and be back home before my wife notices!

I tried a set of MP53 yesterday which felt sooooooo nice but I have no idea if the shaft are suitable so best getting checked out before shelling out any cash and joining the mizzy fan club!

What's even Better is they are part of kingswood gc, so once you have your spec that works you can test on a proper range too ;)

Precision golf are round that way
Egham to be precise

Thorpe Industrial Estate to be a little more so

Highly recommend them, but not cheap and you may be surprised how far in advance you need to book - maybe not at this time of year.

There are also a couple of other independent fitters in the Kingswood/Epsom area. A mate was unimpressed with the Kingswood one.

If you are after Mizunos, their National Fitting Centre is at Burhill, near Walton on Thames/Weybridge. Definitely worth going there!

Another vote for Pachesham, Andrea Timms (I hope I remembered the name correctly correctly) there is excellent, also the Mizuno centre at Burhill.

If you fancy trying an independent, Phil Wright at Coombe Wood does excellent repair work and also does custom fitting, have had a putter fit with him but not anything long game, but he was knowledgable, thorough & a pleasure to deal with.
