First round of 2012

As I'm off work until next Monday I ventured out today in the gale force wind to try to put into practice my thoughts of playing each shot as it comes.

Although it was a bit wet underfoot, I was hitting the ball really well and scored 36pts.

I had a couple of poor shots that were mainly down to poor lies but all in all a really good round in tough conditions.


How has your 1st round of 2012 gone?

36pts in this weather is very impressive. I live the other side of the water and doing any sort of outdoor practice today would of done more damage.

Went up the club on new years day at the usual Sunday time of 8:00 - only 4 of the regulars turned out. So we played a friendly game of millionaires golf - we had the course to ourselves for at least the first hour & half. Played damn good too and even won 2 quid! If we'd been scoring stableford, I think I'd have got more points than I did in whole of December! Here's to to 2012 and lets hope the the form lasts

Not a bad start, came runner up in our New Years Day Trophy which is our first "major" of the season believe it or not and its only January.
